can't go that deep
can't descend that low
can't find my feet
can't say my prayer
a bit lost and betrayed
told all is lost
the joy i see,
beyond my reach
a choice so hard
a tomorrow so blind
destiny has predicted
fate has foretold
future has predicted
but time will tell

MY WALK
I'm new in town,just like a foreigner
maybe foreigners even know their way better
or perhaps my fellow skin men will treat them with much more accord.
whatever way,I don't blame them.
I start my trek from Kejetia,to a destination unknown
All I care is the route I take and the journey ahead
the cries of the hawkers and peddlars
not forgetting the pleas from the street child
in local parlance asking for coins.very funny
to think my kid sister will not ran an errand even for a cedi
And even as my heart goes out,
I have none to give..not because I'm being stingy
I use a credit card and the little I have is hidden in my backpack
the boy goes away disappointed,I feel guilty
and him ,betrayed
wish I had done more, but its not really my fault
If I could rule for a minute,I'd provide him a chamber
one to sleep and one to dine
to wash himself free from struggles
and go on like the man on the moon
Alas,I have my fair share
with all I've got ,I dream of a change
A greater change?maybe
Half an hour gone and I haven't moved
coming all the way from Accra
to live the life of a free man
yet seeing one in chains got me thinking
I'm blessed
maybe foreigners even know their way better
or perhaps my fellow skin men will treat them with much more accord.
whatever way,I don't blame them.

RUN NO MORE
The tears we shed
the memories we shared
the thoughts we pondered
the days we wandered
to end our grief
and burn our beef
to end this pain
and deserve our gain
to stop this shame
and clean our name.
We now stop to stare
at the monuments ahead
those we built
with these hands of clay.
We run no more
like we did before.
we open every door
that was closed with a roar.
and to those we swore
never to be on all four
knowing what we stand for
the memories we shared
the thoughts we pondered
the days we wandered
to end our grief
and burn our beef
to end this pain
and deserve our gain
to stop this shame
and clean our name.
We now stop to stare
at the monuments ahead
those we built
with these hands of clay.
We run no more
like we did before.
we open every door
that was closed with a roar.
and to those we swore
never to be on all four
knowing what we stand for
